Hello there. My name is Sylvia.

I was born in Brazil and I am a visual artist, Reiki, Ashati and

Qi Gong Practitioner, Crystal Healer, Yin and Restorative Yoga Teacher.

Since I was a child, I was always interested in the invisible world around me, sensing and feeling it. As I grew up in a place surrounded by nature, I was able to connect to it and to learn how to observe, explore and express myself through playfulness and art.

Art was how I learned to express myself, through dance, theatre and photography – by simply creating from my emotions, thoughts, questions, doubts and pain. It was how I could process what I felt within and could let go of the hurt that I was carrying. Having found that within me, I decided to study Fine Art Photography, which gave me even more strength to dig deeper and to start, without knowing, to heal my past. It opened a door that allowed me to create in a visceral, liberating and transformative way.

Seeing how much this process gave me and helped me to understand myself, I was inspired to study the Initial Course of Art Therapy in Barcelona. There I also started to practice Yoga and learned the symbols and messages of the Tarot. During my time there, I started to open up and discovered new things. It was the starting point of a new path in my life.

In 2016 I moved to Zürich and after years of moving around, I just felt the need to find silence. The connection with Spirituality that already had started back in Brazil and then Spain, encouraged me to find different ways to reconnect to my essence and to give space to understand and heal my own wounds.  As I found Reiki, Ashati, Crystal Healing, Qi Gong and Yoga, I felt the transformation so deep within me, that I wanted to share this experience with other people. This has inspired me to study different alternative therapy methods to accompany and guide you on your inner journey at Atelier Samaúma.
